How to do a lesson
|
Introduction

This page shows you how to progress through a lesson.
- It is only a guideline, if you prefer to do things in a different order, that's OK.

Remember that you are in control,
you can decide what you want to learn and how you want to learn it.

Doing a lesson

Generally, you will work through a lesson by:
- doing section 1, then section 2 and finally section 3
- doing the lesson exercise at the end
- looking at the explanation and vocabulary links for help

Lesson layout

Each lesson has the same page layout and structure.
- there is a coloured sidebar on the left hand side with a collection of links to lessons and tools.
- there are 3 section options
- an exercise option
- an explanation option
- a vocabulary option

You can select any option, simplying by clicking on the icon or the underlined text

Explanation page (both lesson and section)

the explanation consists of:
- a sidebar
- links to the section, activity, explanation, vocabulary and help
-
the nawat is on the left hand side and the explanation is on the right hand side
-
the explanation link for the lesson contains all the explanation for the lesson

the explanation link for the section contains the explanation for that section

Vocabulary (both lesson and section)

the vocabulary consists of:
- a sidebar
- links to the section, activity, explanation, vocabulary and help

the nawat is on the left hand side and the meaning is on the right hand side

the vocabulary link for the lesson contains all the vocabulary for the lesson

the vocabulary link for the section contains the vocabulary for that section

Lesson exercise

in the exercise you will be asked to type in your response to a question

you can click on the audio icon to hear a correct response (there may be more than one)

feedback will be provided at the top of the screen

Doing a section

Generally, you will work through a section by:
- listening to the conversation
- trying to see if you understand it before looking at the translation
- reading the explanation
- reviewing the vocabulary
- doing the section activity

Section layout

Each section has the same page layout and structure.
- there is a coloured sidebar on the left hand side with a collection of links to lessons and tools.
- there are 5 options at the top of the screen
- a link to the section
- an activity option
- an explanation option
- a vocabulary option
- a help option

you can hear
- the entire conversation by clicking on the sound icon beside the section title
- a part of the conversation by clicking on the sound icon beside the text

you can read the text
- without a translation
- with a translation by clicking on the translation link

You can always go back to the current lesson page by clicking on the lesson number.

Section activity

each section has 3 activities

sometimes there may be more than one correct answer.
-
feedback is provided in each activity
-
the exercises
- are meant to help you see if you have understood the topic
- You don't have to get them all
correct before you move on to a new topic, but it's usually better to make sure that you
have grasped one topic before moving on.
