DCU Survey on Student Opinion of Teaching 2003

Twelve questions were asked. All respondents were to answer each question on a five point scale as in the graphs below. In all 74 students took part.

 

1, The Lecturer is enthusiastic about teaching.



2, The Lecturer makes good use of examples and illustrations.



3, The Lecturer presents the material in an interesting way



4, The Lecturer is well organised



5, I have a complete and well organised set of lecture notes on the course to date.



6, The page of lectures is ideal



7, The course attempts to cover too much material.



8, The course is intellectually stimulating.



9, I recieve sufficient course handouts.



10, I have become more interested in this subject because of this course.



11, The Lecturer is always approachable.



12, I feel that I am working well on this course.

 

Many thanks also to those who filled in the survey and especially people who included details of the sections of the course that they liked best and least. This is valuable information and I will use it to improve any future courses that I teach.
