Course Overview
Each year is divided into two semesters, with six subjects per semester.
The course work is divided into three sections - Lectures, Tutorials and
Lab work.
In the lectures the students listen and take notes, while the lecturer talks and
uses examples.
In the tutorials the students discuss exercises that they have comleted with
the lecturer, and then receive the correct solution.
In the lab work the students can practise their programming skills,
under the supervision of tutors who help them with any problems they encounter.

The ECTS-System (European Credit Transfer System)
DCU ist ein Mitglied im ECTS der Europäischen Union. Studenten bekommen
ECTS-Punkte von DCU.
Ein Student muss 60 ECTS-Punkte pro Jahr bekommen und
man bekommt zwischen 5 und 10 ECTS pro Modul.
Studenten müssen für
einen vier Jahre langen Studiengang insgesamt 240 ECTS-Punkte sammeln, um ihren
akademischen Grad zu erhalten.
