INTRA Work Placement
All students go on work placement for six months during their third year. This placement,
known as the "INTRA" (INtegrated
TRAining) programme, integrates academic study with
closely related jobs. This will give you an understanding of the professional
and practical business world, and help you to stand out in
the graduate employment market.
In nearly all cases, students on work placement are paid. The
University's INTRA Office
works to find suitable placement companies for students, but students may also arrange
their placement in a place of their choosing. Some students elect to do their placement
abroad, typically in the U.K. or U.S.A., but anywhere is possible.
In previous years we had students on placement in:
- Singapore
- Boston
- New York
- Washington
- Connecticut
- Massachusetts
|
- Sussex
- Aachen (Germany)
- Maastricht (The Netherlands)
- Stirling (Scotland)
- Hyderabad (India)
|
An indication of the kind of companies with which our students have undertaken
their work placement is given in our INTRA
company list.
