World-Class Facilities

DCU School of Computing enjoys computing facilities that are second-to-none. Our purpose-built laboratories have been specifically designed to enhance your learning experience. They currently house approximately 470 computers, giving an impressive ratio of about one P.C. to every three students.

 

Some Technical Information:
 
Our Dell Optiplex desktop systems are Windows XP and Suse Linux dual-boot.
 
We have a massive range of licensed Windows and Linux software available to students.
 
HP 4200 High speed Laserjet printers are available in all computer labs.
 
All students receive a "computing.dcu.ie" email account and a personal home directories on both our Windows and UNIX servers
