Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms. Mary Coughlan T.D., today (23rd Sep 2009) announced that McAfee, the world's largest dedicated security technology company, is to expand its Cork operation with the creation of an inside sales operation working across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Cork is the headquarters for McAfee's operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa and is also the point through which all orders for the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions are processed. The company already has significant operations in the city, with much of its finance, procurement, localisation, order processing and channel customer care based to the east of the city. The company first established a presence in Ireland in late 2004 and has since grown its Irish workforce to around 170 employees. With the introduction of a Cork-based inside sales operation, McAfee will further increase its footprint in Ireland.
