Programme Introduction

The MSc in Information Technology provides graduates of the university's Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (full-time and part-time) with an opportunity to obtain a higher qualification in a chosen area. Open to students who have achieved an overall distinction, the programme typically sees students spending the summer months following successful completion of their Graduate Diploma deciding on a research area, contacting one or more members of academic staff, and agreeing both a suitable research topic and supervisor.

Launched in Autumn 2001, the MSc. in Information Technology is a one-year part-time programme, which runs from October until June of the following year, and involves the undertaking of a substantial dissertation under the supervision of a member of the academic staff of the School of Computing.
