Fees & Requirements

Fees & Funding Support

European Union students accepted on the programme will be in receipt of major fee support under the Higher Education Authority's Advanced Technical Skills programme. This means that the major part of university fees is subsidised for E.U. students, leaving a fee of approximately €1,600 per annum payable by such students (based on 2007/2008 fees).

The fees for non-E.U. students and further information on fees, EU/Non-EU Status criteria, scholarships and grants are available to view here or from the university's Finance Office.

Entry Requirements

Because of the rapid speed of developments in the Forensic Computing and Security fields, the programme is beneficial to both recent graduates wishing to keep abreast of developments in these areas, and also those already in employment who wish to update their skills through full-time or part-time study.

Applications are, therefore, invited from candidates who have, at a minimum, a good Second Class Honours degree in Computer Science, Computing, School of Computing, or a discipline with a strong Computing content. Applications are also welcome from Honours graduates of other disciplines who have significant experience in the security or software development sectors.

Applications & Further Information

All EU and Non-EU applicants wish to apply our next intake in September should apply online through the Postgraduate Applications Centre using the PAC codes DC823 (full-time) or DC822 (part-time).

Applicants who require a study visa for the purposes of gaining entry into Ireland are advised to apply as early as possible.
