This year's Microsoft Scholarships have just been awarded to four students from the Computer Applications degree. The four students were Dermot Brennan, Aodhan Cullen, Dermot Duffy and Rory McTague, all from the Software Engineering stream. Each of them submitted a 5000-word essay on the topic "Computers and Culture" discussing the way in which computers have created new avenues for artists, writers, musicians and film-makers. Each student wins €1200.
