School of Computing, Dublin City University hosts EU Workshop for TRICE (Teaching, Research and Innovation in Computer Education) 25th Feb 2011, Dublin, IRELAND

Markus Helfert and Ray Walshe (WP5 Leaders for the TRICE Project) addressed the consortium members on the project status.

One of the aims of the EU Project TRICE (Teaching, Research and Innovation in Computer Education) is to promote innovation through close cooperation between enterprises, research institutesand universities. The team at DCU, School of Computing is responsible for Work Package 5 (WP5), which developed a database of research projects at bachelor, master’s and doctoral degree levels, accessible by companies  and  Small-Medium Sized Enterprises  . Together with information system a framework was created to enable faster turnaround on innovative research ideas by involving enterprises and academia in development of research projects.

Prof. Mike Scott,  Head of DCU’s School of Computing welcomed the consortium members to DCU and wished them well with the TRICE Workshop.
